Kementec is a successful and financially strong Danish company – and one Europe’s leading manufactures of ELISA substrates and buffers for immunoassays. The company delivers ELISA, immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry components to biotech, pharmaceutical and immunoassay manufacturers and research laboratories in more than 30 countries worldwide. Components are produced in batch sizes from 10 to 1500 liters. Kementec excels at offering customers an optimum mix of services, which are unique within its field. Including a subsidiary in the USA they are in all 25 people and as independent company owned by a German group, R-Biopharm AG.

The role

Kementec is in a positive development and with both new large customers and a recently successful ISO 9001 certification, the organization is becoming more and more complex. The operations department must therefore be raised to the next level, so that it is geared to handle future growth.

Together with a team of 2-4 dedicated specialists, you will be overall responsible for production, QC and sourcing and ensure that the Operations can be improved continuously. You will report to the CEO and in close collaboration with Sales, R&D/product development and QA, your primary tasks will be to streamline and upgrade production and laboratory facilities, as well as optimize the internal flow to ensure high quality and delivery on time. Other tasks are:

  • Be a visible and communicative leader who creates motivation and commitment
  • Initiate and run projects regarding streamlining and optimizing production.
  • Prepare production plans and approve production- and QC documentation
  • Prepare budget for QC, production laboratories and equipment
  • Continuous optimization of quality processes and QC assays
  • Selection of and contract negotiation with external suppliers and partners for production / QC
  • Contribute to ensure that Kementec is a trusted partner - not just a supplier


You hold a Bachelor or Master in (bio) chemistry, production, biology, or similar, combined with approx. 5 - 8 years relevant experience, of which approx. 3 years as a (Project) Manager.

You have experience with batch production, preferably from small or medium-sized companies from Life Science, food, cosmetics, dietary supplements or equivalent. Furthermore, you have been working with process optimization and with upgrade of production processes, and you have gained practical knowledge working with ISO 9001 and preferably LEAN. If you have also worked with (immuno) chemical analyzes, ELISA, and perhaps validation, this will be an additional advantage.

Your surroundings know you as a person who is energetic and who gets things done. Your work style is process-oriented, and your mind set is focused on improvements and streamlining. Moreover, you act practically and think strategically and long-term. You have a good overview, and you can see the interrelation in the entire value chain. With your engaging leadership style, you can motivate people and understand their different strengths and personalities. You master English fluently both orally and written.
