It is with both joy and a touch of nostalgia that we can announce the retirement of our CEO, Henrik Christensen
The Kementec Solutions journey started over 35 years ago when Henrik Christensen founded Kementec Solutions, then named Kem-En-Tec, with a few colleagues. Despite its humble beginnings, Kementec has evolved into an international organization focused on delivering value to patients worldwide through partnerships with customers and researchers.
We are immensely grateful for his profound impact and wish him the very best in his future endeavors. Happily, Henrik will continue his collaboration with Kementec as a member of the board.
We’re excited to announce that the successors to Henrik are two talented individuals who will serve as co-CEOs: Elaine Lundberg, currently Head of Commercial, and Tobias Greve-Vilby, currently Head of Operations.
It is no coincidence that Elaine and Tobias are the chosen successors. Having been integral parts of the company for the past years, they fully understand Kementec's identity.

Saying goodbye to our valuable colleague, Henny Nielsen

Join us in the fight against cancer!
Once again, Denmark's most prominent fundraiser show, Knæk Cancer, is jointly hosted by the Danish television channel TV 2 and the Danish Cancer Society. Knæk Cancer, was broadcast on October 28, 2023, where companies and the Danish population came together to raise an astounding sum of more than 113 million Danish Kroner, equivalent to over 17.800.000 Euros.
The funds collected during this event play a vital role in advancing cancer research, prevention, and patient support, with the overarching goal of improving cancer survival rates, reducing the incidence of cancer, and enhancing the quality of life for those affected by this disease.

We support The Danish Childhood Cancer Foundation
For the fourth time The Danish Childhood Cancer Foundation is raising awareness about childhood cancer by dedicating the first Friday of March to #FodboldtrøjeFredag (#FotballjerseyFriday).
This day encourages private individuals, sport clubs and employees of Danish companies to wear a football jersey to work. The day is all about creating a community focusing on donating to the cause – participating on the day – and sharing across platforms to spread the message.
Kementec is donating an amount for every employee wearing a football jersey – in addition to this, we have also started our own collection.

Kementec receives ISO 14001:2015 Certification
We are so excited to share the news of our ISO 14001 certification!
As the world is changing and is moving towards more sustainable solutions, so are we. For many years environmental consideration has been a fundamental corner stone when expanding our business.
In order to become even more environment-friendly, we decided to obtain the ISO14001:2015 certification.
One of our goals is to convert all our products into ECO-TEK and to only launch new products that are ECO-TEK compliant.

Once again, the Danish television channel TV 2 and Danish Cancer Society hosts Denmark’s largest fundraiser show; Knæk Cancer.
This year’s focus of Knæk Cancer is to break the silence and to stick together when relatives are being diagnosed with cancer. This will be the focus throughout week 43 in Danish media and will come to an end the 29th of October in a great fundraiser television show.
The collection will contribute to cancer research, prevention, and patient support. The purpose is to increase cancer survival rates, reduce the number of cancer cases and to improve life when affected by cancer.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new products within our ECO-TEK® line: The Effect Diluents, Animal-free
We have previously offered Effect Diluents in our portfolio; however, these new products do not contain any animal components. The benefits of using animal-free buffers result in an improved assay sensitivity, minimal non-specific binding, and high signal-to-background ratio, as the buffers ensure no cross-reaction with your animal source antigens and antibodies, due to being 100% free of animal proteins .

My Green Lab 2022 Europe Summit
We are very excited to be participating in the 2022 European Summit created and hosted by My Green Lab.
The purpose of the summit is to enlighten the possibilities of how to reduce the environmental burden of scientific laboratories activities. We look forward to being discussing our possibilities in lab work together with scientists, lab and facility managers, designers, manufacturers, utilities and university and corporate sustainability leaders.

Today we are happy to share the news of our ISO certification! Although Kementec has been working on an ISO-based system for many years – this certification enables us to offer an even better service for our customers and collaboration partners.

Kementec continues to support the Danish Cancer Society
Every third Dane is diagnosed with cancer, and chances are that we will all be affected by cancer in one way or another at some point, in our own lives. The disease costs many lives every day, however as we continuously raise the bar in cancer research and treatment - more and more patients survive cancer.
Knæk Cancer is Denmark's largest cancer fundraiser and on 24 October we will join the annual collection and raise money for research, prevention, and patient support. The goal is to reduce the number of cancer diagnoses, improve the survival rates and quality of life as a cancer patient.
Cancer patients and other vulnerable individuals have been severely affected during this pandemic. Many have isolated themselves for fear of becoming infected. Visits from loved ones when hospitalized, and their support when receiving difficult messages have been very limited during this pandemic. “Cancer has not become less urgent during the COVID-19 pandemic”, says the Danish Cancer Society's CEO, Jesper Fisker.

This week Kementec is announcing the realization of an important goal: To source 100% renewable energy by 2020. Today, we run solely on power generated by renewable energy sources and Kementecs Sustainability Team continues to build on our green efforts.

Kementec Solutions is proud to take part in supporting the first national COVID-19 center
Kementec’s unique ECO-TEK reagents will be used for the antibody tests, developed with the support from Novo Nordisk Foundation, to detect antibodies in the Danish population against COVID-19.
Not just in Denmark, but throughout the world Kementec Solutions is now providing reagents for COVID-19 antibody tests, as a reliable and preferred partner.

Kementec continues to support the Danish Cancer Society in 2020
Due to the latest development in relation to the COVID-19, the Danish Cancer Society has chosen to move its annual collection.
Despite of these unfortunate circumstances we are repeating last year’s success, and Kementec is proud to support the Danish Cancer Society in order to continue the fight against cancer.
In 2019, more than 10.000 volunteers and approx. 23.000 collectors helped to gather 28.5 mill. DKK during the national collection. Everyone involved in the national collection has a significant share in the Danish Cancer Society's efforts within research, prevention and patient support - an effort that creates hope and saves lives.

COVID-19
In regard to the global development of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Kementec Solutions feel committed to assure our customers of the continuous supply of products. Kementec Solutions is based in Taastrup, Denmark and so far, there have not been any incidences of the virus reported in Denmark. Kementec does not foresee that the Coronavirus outbreak will have any impact on our manufacturing.
Kementec has not experienced any logistics issues other than price changes for transports to China due to cancellation of flights. The logistic supply may depend on your country´s specific restrictions of import and transportation.
If you are in any doubt about if your country’s restrictions will affect Kementec supply of products to you, please contact us, and we will investigate this for you.
As mentioned Kementec remains unaffected by the ongoing outbreak, however Kementec will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed on the development.

Local Mayor visits Kementec
This week we had a very special guest, as the Mayor of Taastrup Municipality, Michael Ziegler, came to visit Kementec.
We had the honor of showing Michael around, and introducing him to the process of creating eco-friendly immunoassay solutions and ECO-TEK® products, as well as how we continuously strive to contribute to a more sustainable life science industry – both locally and globally.
Topics such as sustainability, environmentally friendly innovation and development within the local society are some of the key issues at Taastrup Municipality, whereas we share common visions. This visit was a brilliant opportunity for us to share ideas and inspiration on how to create a greener, healthier and more innovative future together.

Therefor we are very proud to announce our new local partnership with The University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Kementec’s Immunoassay Solutions on display at DiaLabXpo from September 24-25 in Copenhagen. Our sister company, and Scandinavian distributor, Kem-En-Tec Nordic A/S is presenting all its offerings at the exhibition, and introducing our ECO-TEK products and eco-friendly immunoassay solutions.

Kementec opens a North American site
Kementec is very excited to announce the opening of our US facilities in Amherst, New Hampshire.
As Kementec grows and the American customer-base develops, we are happy to be opening a North American site in order to serve our American customer in the best possible way.

Collaboration with DTU Chemistry
Innovative collaborations as a part of new product development is very important to Kementec. Therefore, Kementec is delighted to announce the initiation of collaboration with the Department of Chemistry at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) that will take place over the next six months.
