The Ocean Cleanup

In 2022 we joined the fight to clean up plastic from the ocean through the non-profit organization: The Ocean Cleanup.

Since 2013 the organization has been cleaning the world’s oceans of plastic pollution. We wish to contribute to their goal of cleaning up 90% of floating ocean plastic pollution by 2040.

Their work is not limited to cleaning plastic that is already in the ocean, but to also prevent plastic on its way to the ocean via rivers and has already resulted in the removal of more than 1,36 million kgs of trash from the environment.
